Last weekend, we were able to go to Draper for my cousins wedding. I was having a hard time deciding if I wanted to go because we went up Friday night, and came back Saturday afternoon. I had to work on Sunday so I was afraid I would be soooo tired. Well I went, and I was glad. I rode up with my mom and dad. It snowed the WHOLE way up there, the WHOLE time we were there, and the WHOLE trip back. Good thing my dad is a skilled snow driver. We got to my aunt Lisa's house around 11 and visited for a while before we headed to bed. The kids could not wait for it to be morning so they could play. When we got up, we ate breakfast and the kids played until we had to head to Draper. Konner and Daniel played in the snow and jumped on the trampoline. Zaydee and Sophie played house and slid down the stairs in a sleeping bag!
The fog was so thick we could not see the temple until we got right up to it. I dropped my parents off and the kids and I drove around since it was so cold and snowy outside. First stop.... BATHROOM! Zaydee thinks she needs to try every bathroom... EVERYWHERE! We headed back to the temple and took some pictures of the fog. After the wedding, we went to the reception. The reception was fun and we got to see lots of family that we dont get to see regularly. Emilee caught the bouquet and zaydee couldnt keep her hands off the cake! The bride and groom looked so happy and I wish them the best! I am really glad I went. It is always so much fun to get to spend time with my family.

Dear weather man
Please predict warm weather..... TO STAY!! Our weather has been so unpredictable and cold for this time of year. I have loved the days that were warm and felt like spring. The weather is really toying with my emotions! I get so excited for the warm and then the next day its freezing and windy! It goes from
THIS
TO THIS
UGH!!.....
So on the nice warm days we have been going to the park, having outdoor tea parties, playing at the river and practicing baseball with Konner. The kids and I love the warm and are so much happier when we can play outside.
On cold days we have been found at the library, Pirate Island Pizza, watching Tangled and watching Zaydee build puzzles.... her favorite thing to do!
We are really looking forward to the warm weather so we can get back to our schedule consisting of...
Swimming at the pool with grandma once a week
snow cones 5 times a week.. haha kidding....kinda
river and lake trips
movie in the park and lots more!
Gypsies, Tramps & Thieves
My aunt Coni gave my mom and I tickets to go see Cher in Vegas. We had a great time! We stayed at the Worldmark and went to Caesars Palace for dinner and the concert. I'm pretty sure I was the youngest person by 30 years at the concert but we still had a fun time. My mom had never experienced the strip at night.... So that was just as entertaining as the concert! She got a real Las Vegas WELCOME! Drunk guys hitting on her, People passing out "adult" material, smelling like smoke, men dressed in drag, men making out... you know, the vegas nightlife! She was very excited to make it back to our hotel safe and sound! I am glad we got to go together. We really enjoyed eachother's company. Love you MOM!!

first day...
Ok, I am writing this at 9:20 p.m after just getting home from my first day at the new job. WOW... is all I can say. My day started at 4:45 a.m when I had to get up to get ready to be to work by 5:45 a.m. I got to work and clocked in and immediately started running. I had 8 patients to get blood pressures, SO2 sats, heart rates, respirations, blood sugars, etc. The next time I looked at the clock, I had already been there 3 hours. I took out catheters and IVs. I transferred patients, I wheeled patients out that got to go home, I watched chest tubes get removed, answered call lights, I learned how to do all the computer charting, made beds, and talked with a lady that just had her leg amputated. I got to sit for a total of 30 minutes today while I ate my lunch. Needless to say.... my legs, feet, and back are tired and sore. I had the best CNA and RN teaching me the ropes. I feel super overwhelmed with everything I have to learn. Every one is so understanding and so willing to help me learn. I feel a lot of pressure to be really good at my job because every conversation I had with other CNAs and RNs today went like this.... "Where are you coming from?" (me) "This is my first CNA job ever" (them) "Are you kidding me? How did you get on at the hospital, on days, without any experience?" (me) "I know, I feel so lucky. I am just really nervous." (them) "You are very lucky! That is awesome! Welcome to the team." So now I feel like I need to be AMAZING so I don't let anyone down. Well I ran all day and before I knew it, it was 6:00 p.m. I reported to the night nurse and clocked out. I ran and picked up Konner and Zaydee from my moms to take them to check out the new learning center. The hospital has a learning center for Intermountain employees to take their kids while they work. It is an great program. They have strict curriculum they teach, balanced meals, amazing teachers, and a great facility! The one week day I work, I will have the option to take the kids there if my mom or Joyce is not available. It is set up just like a school but so much nicer! I had high expectations and it exceeded them. After I took the kids to get familiar with the school, before they just got dropped off there, I took the kids back to my mom so I could go to school. Chemistry..... ugh. Well I just got home and am going to bed! I have 4 twelve hour days in a row plus 3 tests for school. This is going to be the hardest week. The rest will seem like a breeze when I get on my set schedule. I just wanted to remember this day and this feeling so when I graduate school and don't have to work my A$$ off, I will have empathy for those that are doing it. Night.... 4:30 is going to come early

Silver teeth...
A year ago, Konner went to the dentist for a cleaning. The dentist told us his teeth were great, no cavities, and sent us on our way with a book, a balloon, and a free dinner to Red Robin. Konner had a great experience and was excited to go back in 6 months. So.... 6 months later we went back for another cleaning. This time the dentist said Konner needed 4 fillings and 4 caps! WHAT?!!? I couldn't believe it! We were just there and his teeth were great! I was very leery of the diagnosis and wanted a second opinion. Sure enough, he was in need of 4 freaking caps, and 4 fillings! The dentist wanted to put him under to do all the work..... ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!!?? I was a nervous wreck. After talking to my mom for hours about it, I decided it was an ok thing to do. We had to be at the dentist at 6:30 a freaking m! They do the sedation appointments in the early morning because the kids can not eat 12 hours prior. When we got to the office, I was soooo nervous about the whole thing. They gave Konner a little medicine to make him loopy. We sat in the waiting room for about 15 minutes... then came the WORST part... the dentist came out and said, "Ok, I will carry Konner back. We will see you when we're done" AHHHH... I was so scared that something was going to go wrong. I wouldnt be back there to know what was going on. No one cares about him as much as I do, and that freaked me out! I asked lots and LOTS of questions and then they were gone. I waited in the waiting room, trying to study... (I was to nervous to concentrate) At about 8:30 the dental assistant came out to get me. Konner was done but still ZONKED out. We waited in the recovery room while I held Konner, waiting for him to wake up. The dentist told me about 5% of kids have a reaction to the anesthesia that makes them sick.... WELL, KONNER WAS ONE OF THE 5%. He threw up all over his head during the procedure. They gave him a little sponge bath before they brought him out. I felt so bad. He threw up 3 more times in the recovery room and then finally woke up. They let us go home at 10:30. Getting out of the office was quite the chore. I had to carry Konner cause he couldnt walk. I had all my school books, sleeping Zaydee, and a purse that weighs 1 billion lbs! The girls were awesome. They carried Zaydee and my school stuff so I could get Konner out. He threw up on the way home and 2 times when we got home. The good news is, he didnt remember any of the pain. He got over the sickness by about 2 and was good to go. He wanted a mirror so he could see his silver teeth. He wanted to show every one how cool they were.

Life flight
Sandstone Elementary School won the best tree at the Jubilee of Trees this year. One of the prizes was to have the life flight helicopter land at the school and let all the kids see inside of it. Well, since my mom works there, we got to go check it out too. Konner was AMAZED! We got to watch it land and then go check out the inside. After all the kids took a little tour, we got to watch it take off again. It was a really neat experience for the kids.
Zaydee turned 3!
Wow, time flies! Zaydee the lady turned three and I can't believe it. She is such a cute, spunky, sassy, caring, little thing. This year, she wanted to have a princess party. We had all her friends over for a little celebration. It turned out perfect! We played some little princess games, had cake and ice cream, and opened presents.
After her friend party, we had a little family party over at my moms house. She had birthday dinner and brownie sundaes. She got to open more presents and teach uncle Mikey some dance moves!

Snow day!
Konner looked out the window and said "It snowed!!" He was so excited, he ran and told Zaydee and they started getting dressed, so they could go play in it. Konner thought for a min, then said "Holy crap mom, I am going to have to wear like 4 pairs of pants for this much snow!" haha Obviously we are not around the snow very much. We went outside and made snow angels, had a snowball fight, and built Bocho (the snowman)! We realized that we are not well equipped for such weather. I put lots of pictures on facebook, if you want to see more Click here
Christmas
We had great Christmas week! My aunt Lisa and her family came down and spent a few days before Christmas. On Thursday we went to Grandma Joy and Grandpa Ralph's house for "Christmas eve" dinner with my moms family. We had fondu and the kids loved it. Zaydee loved having little girls to play babies with, and Konner ran around like he was one of the big boys. All the grandkids opened their presents from grandma and grandpa, then played for the rest of the night. The little kids watched a movie on the "magic bed"(the wall bed) before we went home.
The next night was actually Christmas eve. I didn't have to work and we had a fun day! The kids are getting big enough to really get excited about Christmas. We spent the day with my family and had dinner at my mom and dad's house. My mom read the Christmas story (kids version) after dinner. Then we all got to open one present. The kids got jammies and I got an awesome Christmas plate.... one we can put cookies for Santa on. I took the kids home to get the cookies and milk ready, and so we could be in bed early. Konner wrote a letter, all by his self, for Santa. Then it was time for bed....... time for Santa to stop by.
(Dear Santa, These cookies are for you. Love Konner that sat on your lap)
CHRISTMAS MORNING!! The kids got up at 8:30 and were soooo excited. Konner got the BIG truck and trailer that he asked Santa for! Zaydee got a big girl bike and the pink camera she was to scared to ask Santa for. haha My family came over and watched the kids open their presents. After they had a chance to open and play with everything, we went to my parents house for biscuits and gravy. After breakfast we opened presents over there, then we spent the rest of the day playing with our new things and building puzzles. That evening, the kids got to go to Joyce and Kim's to open their presents and play with the cousins. They had a great time. We were all very spoiled and are so blessed to have such awesome family!
Aunt Con, Leslie, my mom, Konner, and Zaydee all in Zayds new princess tent! haha

Family pictures
We had our pictures done in December and I am so happy with how they turned out. I had Jimmy Bishop, from Gideon Photography (one of my very favorite photographers) do them. He was great with Konner and Zaydee and he had the pictures done in 2 days! He is awesome! I wish I could post them all up here, for every one to see.... BUT there are 120 pictures. That would take a while, so I will just post a few.
