This past weekend was my cousin, Justin's wedding. It was a quick decision on Justin and Megan's part but it turned out really great! All my family from California came into town for the wedding on Thursday. I went to the temple and watched all the kids (run around on the grass) and waited for everyone to come out. Megan looked gorgeous! Compliments to the Bridal Consultant....yeah, it was me! haha

While all the family was in town, Julie, Sarah, Grandma Joy, my mom, me, and Zaydee went out and did a little shopping. If shopping was a sport, my aunt Julie would be a PRO! She can shop for days.... haha! We went to TJ Maxx where my grandma Joy found a TUTU that Zayd just had to have. She showed it to Zaydee and of course Zayd said "I want that dancing dress!" My grandma bought it for her and she had to put it on as soon as we got out of the store! She LOVED it soooo much! She didn't take it off the rest of the day... She wore it to OSHKOSH, GYMBOREE, THE CHILDRENS PLACE, and then to grandma Joys house. She really wants to take "dancing class".. I guess i will have to find a good dance class for her!

Mothers day, in the past, has been a hard day for me. This year, before Mother's day got here, I decided that it was going to be a great day... and it was! For 5 years I have hoped on every Mothers Day that I would get a cute little mom necklace, a card, or breakfast in bed.... and every year when that doesn't happen, I get my feelings hurt. Mothers Day growing up was always special for my mom and my dad always helped us realize how special she was. Well this year I decided that Mothers day is not about presents, cards, or even breakfast in bed. Mothers day is a day to celebrate being a mommy. I got to spend a whole day with just me and my kids. Saturday night I told them that it was Mothers day in the morning and explained to them what that meant. I told them that I was very lucky to be their mom and that they made me so happy. Konner woke up the next morning and came right into my room and gave me a hug and said, "Happy Mothers Day Mom." yeah.... I started crying.
I have to share this because it made me so happy... Konner's friend Ryan knocked on the door and said, "Konner, can you play?" Konner says, "No cause it is Mothers Day and I am going to hang out with my mom." He is such a sweet boy..
My mom had helped the kids make cards for me and helped Konner make a coupon book for me. It was the cutest thing. Even though I had to clean up poo and make breakfast and lunch... It was still an amazing day! And what a difference a change of attitude makes. I love being a mom! I feel so lucky and blessed to have such great kids. They truly are troopers and they love and support me in trying to go to school and work. I am also very grateful for all the mothers in my life. My mom especially! I love you mom!
Yes... we are a silly bunch!

The cards and flowers the kids made for me.... I will cherish them forever
Haha Zayd is a crack up! I changed a billion poo diapers this Mothers Day! I am glad she is grateful!
Love it..
We got to go to the PBR last week and Konner loved it. The only bad part about it was the arena was really small. I went a couple hours early and got a great seat. Zaydee loved climbing all over me and flirting with the old man behind us... but konner was standing in the front watching the whole time. We had a really fun time... minus the intoxicated gentleman sitting next to us!

During the National Anthem. Hats off
This is Zaydee's new tongue trick!

Today was my first day of the CNA program. I was super nervous for a couple different reasons.
1. I have never done this kind of thing before and the "not knowing" is really scary for me.
2. I am not sure if i can handle all the blood and guts that you have to handle for this kind of job.
and..
3. I have to get up at 6a.m to get ready and get the kids ready because my class STARTS at 8 a.m. If anyone knows me... they know i am not a morning person. Well i guess that has to change. I have class Tuesdays and Thursdays 8-noon and I have to work at the care center doing clinicals 3 Wednesdays from 6am til 2pm.
I had to go get my books, scrubs, stethoscope and blood pressure cuff last week with my kids. They have been to the book store with me before and it is quite the chore! So Konner picked out the stethoscope and blood pressure cuff while Zayd picked out the scrubs. I ended up with bright pink scrubs and a blue stethoscope with a blood pressure cuff that is blue with green hearts and polka dots. We made a fun afternoon out of it. I think it is important to teach my kids the importance of education and so I try to involve them in my school endeavors. I only have one picture taken from my cell phone to send to my aunt Con... but
I want to remember it so I will post it.
I want to remember it so I will post it.
don't mind the super messy room in the background! :)
When I take a picture of the polka dot, green heart, blood pressure cuff I will post it! Its pretty "cute"
Can't wait to be done with school! It is starting to feel like i am getting somewhere!
Last, but definitely not least.... I SOLD MY CAMERA!!! It was kind of bitter sweet I would say. I feel a little attached to my little XTi and I learned a lot on it! But on the up side.. I ordered a new one! The T2i... It should be here on Monday!! I am seriously so excited... and i just can't hide it :) haha
I am so excited to play with it and take some video! I have lots of fun things coming up that this camera will come in handy for!
