WARNING: Post overload

Wow! I have so much I want to blog about so I am just going to make one giant post! Well as some of you know It is finals week at Dixie State.... With that said, I have been super stressed trying to get my last minute things done. I have been working on my final 12 page research paper for EVER it seems like. It was due today so yesterday I didn't have to work until 2 so i spent all morning trying to perfect it. I let the kids have full run of the house as I worked. At lunch time I stopped working to get the kids lunch and get ready for work. They had wandered into the back yard and when I saw them I thought to myself.... Holy cow it is lunch time and you guys are still in your jammies with last nights soggy diaper on, no shoes, crazy hair, and SO HAPPY! The last week I have felt like I have not got to spend any time with Konner and Zaydee. They are such good kids to just play and let me get my homework done though! I love them so much!

My work station... also known as my bed!

Last Saturday Sammy and Wayne invited me to go spend the day at the lake. I was so excited since I have been looking forward to summer for so long! It was a perfect day for the lake! The water was cold but it was hot outside so the water felt good. Sam brought the Jetski and we brought all the sand toys.... the kids played in the sad ALL day. Best $7 dollars ever spent. Konner did so good in the water with his life jacket. I am so proud of the little guy.  Michael and Aubree came out for the day for their prom day date. They brought the canoe and the kids loved taking turns riding in it. I fried my body but it was so worth it....

Mikey and his little followers... The kids love him.

Sam's first tube ride ever!

Because of finals I have been studying every second I am home, so this weeks activity was just a picnic on our front lawn. We grabbed some Wendys on my way home from the college and relaxed in the shade. We laid on the blanket and made things in the clouds. Even though it wasn't something we had never done before, we had a great time with each other.

The clouds look like chicken nuggets!
Look at my elephant nose mom! haha

We spend a lot of time at my mom and dad's house and one evening we were hanging out in the back yard and Parker and Zaydee got a great idea. Zaydee sits in the dump truck and Parker pushes her up to the top of the drive way and then runs her down! He had her put her blanket in there to make the ride a little more comfy. They laughed so hard and no one got hurt! While they were taking turns having rides Konner was catching potato bugs.

A couple weeks ago my mom came over to sit with the kids while I ran to school for a meeting and when I got home this is what I found........
Zaydee went in the kitchen to get her cup of milk out of the fridge and never came out. My mom asked her if she needed help and she said she could do it by herself so my mom stayed in the living room with Konner. A couple minutes later she called for Zaydee and when she didn't answer she went in there and found Zaydee fast asleep on the kitchen rug! haha she must have been super tired

A few weeks ago we went to Sand Cove because Konner has been wanting to go fishing.... It was a little windy but the kids had a great time eating snacks, chasing lizards, and waiting for the fish to bite! We saw a couple eagles and that was super cool. I didn't get any good pictures of them... maybe next time!

I think I am officially caught up on the bogging. YAY!

Feel the burn!

I have been wanting to go try a Zumba class for a long time but I didn't know anyone that went, and I really didn't want to go shake my booty alone. A couple weeks ago Jess asked me if i wanted to go and I was so stinkin' excited to finally get to try it! I LOVED IT! Whats not to love about it? The music is loud, the lights are off and the disco ball is movin, and you get to work your butt off while dancing and having fun! My favorite part about it is it is a super good workout but you dont feel like you are working out. You definitely know you were working out when you try to get out of bed the next morning. YIKES! I seriously love the sore muscle feeling though..... It makes me feel like I am actually doing something! Me and a couple friends go every Monday night.... any one that wants to join us is more than welcome!

Next week I will remember my camera so i can get a picture of us at Zumba instead of this cute little logo! Be prepared girls :)

Art Work.... Konner style

The other day Konner asked if he could go outside and color with chalk. I told him that was fine but he needed to go out back because I couldn't go out with him. We have two patios in the back yard so i figured he would just draw on them.... I was definitely wrong. We had Konner's art work covering the whole block wall.

These are the two, very important supplies, you must have to become a block wall chalk artist.... 3D glasses and a blue bug juice. I found these sitting on the concrete just like this. (yes, the concrete he was supposed to color on!)

Easter... A little late

Easter weekend was a fun and busy weekend. I had Friday and Saturday off work so we got to do some fun stuff. We colored eggs, had picnics, tried flying kites, did easter egg hunts, and had the Easter bunny visit! My grandparents invited me to come to the Bloomington Country Club egg hunt with my kids. At 8:30 a.m we got there and the kids got to see the Easter bunny! We all had a great time and got lots of candy!

We had a picnic in the back yard at my mom and dads house on Saturday afternoon. My dad and Josh cooked dutchoven potatoes and chicken. It was perfect weather for the kids to play in the sandbox and run around blowing bubbles.

The Easter bunny came to our house on Saturday so the kids would be able to play with their sand toys that day. They got watering cans so they can water our flowers that we just planted and they love them. The bubble gum machine, like always, was a big hit!

We colored easter eggs at my mom and dads house this year. I didnt get to many good pictures because i was busy helping.... it is quite the messy activity for 2 year olds! Zaydee just used her hands to get the eggs in and out of the dye.

On Friday we made easter cookies with Avery and Konner's friend Ryan. It is so funny to see how girls and boys are so different. Avery and Zaydee just spread the purple frosting on their cookies and the boys tried to put frosting on eachother, use their knives as swords, paint my berry garland with frosting and lick the frosting out of the bowls. They had a great time and the cookies were tasty too!

On Sunday we went over to my Grandma and Grandpa's house for dinner. As always it was amazing. She had the table set for royalty!  She made fried chicken and every thing else to go with it. We finished our dinner with some home made cinnamon twists. We had a little easter egg hunt in the back yard when we were done eating. The rest of the evening we just hung out at their house and told funny stories about eachother.

Every time Konner and Zaydee go to Grandma Joy and Grandpa Ralphs house they get chocolate milk. This is Zaydee sitting out side on the lounge chair drinking her chocolate milk with a spoon. haha I love her BIG brown eyes!

Konner and Emilee hanging out in the back yard! Emilee is so good with the kids and Konner loves to play with her. They ran around like this helping each other find easter eggs.

Story time, Park day, and Burger Place

For our activity last week we went to Story time at the Washington Library, went to Burger Place for lunch and then hit the park on the way home! We had so much fun playing, being silly, being creative, eating, and spending time together.

Zaydee giving mom kisses on the park bench!

Usually it is really hard for me to get Zaydee to smile for pictures...
This is not her best smile but I will take what i can get!

This is the face i usually get when trying to get her
                                                                        to smile for pictures

                                                                                                   Konner hanging up side down!

We had so much fun at Burger Place.. there was a cute old couple sitting behind us that loved the kids. They sat there and talked to us and made the kids laugh. Konner and Zaydee were making faces and just being silly!

She was supposed to be showing me the movie she checked out from the library!
At story time singing the bear song.
Zaydee focusing on coloring her Easter bunny pencil topper

So proud of his pencil topper and he loves Incredibles!

p.s I am clearly having issues with the blog.... I changed it to stretch so it looks good on my monitor but figuring out the posting thing is driving me nuts! I will hopefully get it figured out for the next post :)
