Weekly outing

I have started planning an activity with the kids once a week so they feel like we get to spend time together doing something fun. Because of our busy schedule if we don't have something planned it wont happen. We plan fun things that we have never done that are usually pretty inexpensive if not free. picnic at the park, trip to star nursery and planting flowers, walks down the river trail, PetCo to look at different pets, and baking. Silly things..

Konner and Zaydee are so stinkin' funny! Here are a couple things they said to me tonight that cracked me up...

Zaydee has been going potty on the big girl potty and when she goes i give her a treat. So tonight i flushed the toilet after going pee and zaydee said to me "good job mommy! want a treat?!" haha

Konner gets "leg aches" quite often and tonight in the car he said "Mom I have an arm leg ache"

When we got home I was getting him a vitamin and he saw the thermometer and asked if we could take his temp. I said sure and put it under his arm. He held it there until it beeped and said "does it say i have a fever?" I said nope it sure doesnt. Then he said "Oh, does it say i have a cough?" haha I thought that was so cute

Well sheesh... It has been a super long time since i blogged! So I will just give everyone a quick little update.

Zaydee turned 2 in January and is so much fun to be around! she makes me laugh all the time! She has definitely got an attitude..(not to sure where she got that from)! She loves painting her nails, playing babies, cooking on her kitchen she got for Christmas, being nakey, and playing super mario brothers with Konner. Her favorite food is hot dogs and fruit snacks.

Konner is 4 and will turn 5 in may. He is an amazing big brother. He loves anything to do with horses, buckin' bulls, and rodeos. He likes to dress in his cowboy attire and practice roping in the back yard. He loves playing the wii and he also likes playing board games like Chutes and Ladders, Sorry, and Hi Ho Cherry Oh. He is getting better about his sportsmanship....(not sure where bad sportsmanship comes from... :) ) He loves learning and is getting really good at writing his name and reminding me that we need to say our prayers. I can not imagine life with out him!

As for me... I have got a lot on my plate right now and am just trying to get through a day at a time. I have gone back to school to get my nursing degree and am working 25 hours a week at Bridal Elegance as the assistant manager. Some days i feel like i want to quit everything but then i see my kids and remember it will all be worth it in the end. I am super thankful to have my family close by. Emilee is babysitting for me two days a week and the kids love her so much. She is such a fun auntie!

I dont have a lot of free time but i will try to be a little better about updating the blog.

alright well I wasnt really sure if i wanted to blog about this because it is still really hard to even talk about but i really feel like i need to let everyone know how thankful i am for Jessica and how truly blessed i feel... On friday Jessica invited me and my kids to go swimming with her and Avery at thier little community pool. We were going to head over there around 11:30 so we stopped at wendys and got some lunch to bring over there with us. We got there and put all our stuff down and the kids were so excited to swim that we got right over to the stairs to put sunscreen on while we put our feet in the water. I got konner all sunscreened and then let him play on the stairs while i put sun screen on zaydee. Konner has never really been super comfortable in the water so i didnt worry one bit about him leaving the steps. I got zaydee all sunscreened and turned to set her in her little floaty and i got a glimpse of konner out of the corner of my eye and had to do a double take. He was in the wierdest position and was not moving at all.... He looked like he was doing a back bend under water. Since i had zaydee in my arms jessica grabbed him out of the water and he was not breathing at all and his face was completely blue. I imediatly started freaking out and screaming and crying and ran to where we had set our stuff down to get my phone. I called 911 while jess laid konner on the concrete and started doing CPR. I was trying to talk to the lady at 911 to tell her where we were and so they could help us. If any of you have been in this situation you will know how hard it was to concentrate on what the person on the phone is saying. As i was "trying" to talk to her jess yells.... "He's Breathing!!" and i so i ran over there and jess took the phone while i held konner. He just started throwing up water. He threw up so much water that it soaked me and it soaked him and covered the ground where we were sitting. He started getting his color back in his face pretty quick. There is a fire station right around the corner from jessicas house and they were there to help before jess even got off the phone to 911. Konners temp. had dropped and so the parametics put some heat packs on him to try to warm him up. They tested his heart and his lungs and oxygen and said... he needs to go to the Emergency Room would you like us to take him? After talking alittle bit with them they thought that it would be ok for me to just take him because he was freaking out about being put on a stretcher and going in the ambulance. Well they said i could not drive but jess could take us. So jess had her neighboor pick up avery and we got zaydee and konner in my car and she took us down to the er. I had to watch konner the whole time because they said it is possible that he could stop breathing again. So thank goodness that did not happen. I called dusty who was in new harmony working and then i called my dad. My mom and dad met us at the hospital and helped me get konner in. Jess took zaydee home with her and fed her lunch(since we left our wendys and everything else at the pool) and let her nap until we knew what was going to happen. We got in a room and they hooked Konner up to some machines and i kept freaking out because all he wanted to do was go to sleep. The dr. said that was normal because his little body has just gone through so much stress that it is exhausted. They took some x-rays of his lungs and said that he still had fluid in his lungs and that he could get pneu·mo·ni·tis which is alot like pneumonia. They let us go home at about 5 and said that the next 24 hours we would have to watch him constantly to make sure he didnt stop breathing. As we were taking him out to the car he started throwing up again. My older brother ran back in to ask the dr. if that is normal. The dr. came out and said yes it is normal because his body is trying to get rid of the water that is still in there. We got him home and he was so hungry since he had not eaten since breakfast. We tried to give him alittle apple sauce and some juice and he threw it all up. He threw up a couple more times and then i called the Dr. Thompson. he said if konner can not keep anything down by the time he is ready for bed you need to take him back in so he does not get dehydrated. Konner just laid on the couch and tried to sleep all evening. My dad and brother came over to pick up Zaydee for alittle bit and they gave konner a blessing while they were over. After they left konner fell asleep for a couple hours and when he woke up he was MUCH better. He said he was starving but i was a little nervous about having him eat alot. so i had him drink some juice and he held that down so i let him eat.... he ate a bowl of cereal, a yogurt, a bowl of apple sauce and a juice box. He went to bed at about 10:30 and we had to watch him all night. He slept just fine and when he woke up the next morning he was back to his normal self. I kept replaying the event in my head and trying to figure out how this happened.... he was only about 2 arms lengths away from me and if he would have been able to turn to his belly he would have been able to put his legs down and touch the stairs and stand up. Neither jess or i ever heard a splash or heard him hit his head of anthing. What i think must have happened is that he slipped on the stairs and went under and sucked in a bunch of water and was out. he could not have been under for more than 20 or 30 seconds. I have not been able to talk or really think about it since because i keep getting the image of him in the water in my head and start crying but..... I am so glad that every thing turned out to be ok. And i can not even beging to tell you how glad i am that jess was there and knew what to do and saved my little boys life. I will never be able to thank her enough. Thanks again Jess.... you are the woman. I know that someone was definately watching over us that day and i feel so extremely thankful and blessed for that:)...... So i am taking a CPR class just so i will know how to do it if i ever need to... if anyone else wants to take it just let me know and i will give you the info.

My little mommy..

Zaydee got a baby and lots of accessories for christmas and she loves to play mommy. she tries to put her baby in the high chair and the stroller and then she will wrap up the baby and put it in its bed. so the other day i was watching her and cracking up because she was having issues with the highchair... she couuldnt quite get the baby in it the right way.

I dont even know where to start! It has been sooo long since i have blogged. I went to Pete and Alicias house and alicia was showing me her blog and harrassing me for never posting so i guess its about time i do!! haha Zaydees birthday was january 9th so we had a big party for her. here are a few pictures of the big day!

Trick or treat

We had a fun halloween.... Zaydee was a little fairy and konner was a SCARY skeleton! We met at joyces and did a little trick or treating and then went to bob and bradis for a little party! Konner thought that getting the candy was awesome! Zaydee really didnt care.... as long as she had her ritz crackers! haha we tried to get a picture of all the kids but as you can see it was hard to get them all looking at the same time... and zaydee was crawling away so yeah it was a good idea....

A Friday Afternoon

We spent the day at my mom and dads house on friday and had a fun day. we just played out side in my moms back yard for hours. Zaydee was helping grandpa work in the garage and was nice and dirty from crawling around on the cement floor. Konner had a really fun time riding his little razor scooter well until he took a dive on the concrete. he was riding down the drive way and his wheel got stuck in a crack in the cement and he landed right on his head. he was pretty tough but has a big goose egg on his head.
